The market leader in marine insurance in the Nordics, Säkra is now after an acquisition in March 2023, the new owner of Fairwater Marine.

Säkra is Sweden's largest insurance intermediary, offering life insurance, property insurance, and financial advisory services. With the acquisition of Fairwater Marine, Säkra's team of specialists in marine insurance has expanded. In addition, Fairwater Marine's marine insurance products can now be offered by Säkra's qualified insurance intermediaries at over 80 offices throughout Sweden.

Fairwater Marine was first founded in 1985 as Salén AB and has been in operation as Fairwater Marine since 2005. The Insurance Broker has a strong position in the Nordic market and continues to be a specialist marine insurance company within Säkra's corporate group.

Clients include primarily shipowners, management companies, charterers, cargo owners, and logistics companies."
